Future

Hello!

There are different types to express a future action:

-With present simple: timetables.
The tren arrives at ten o'clock.

-With present continuos: It is certain that it happens:
I am playing tennis with your little sister this afternoon.

-With going to: plan or future actions.
I'm going to travel around the world next summer.

-With will: predictions, offers or actions that you decide to do at the moment of speaking.
It will rain tomorrow. / I will close the window.

-Future perfect simple: suj+will have+ participe.
To talk about actions that have been finished in the future.
Ex: Next week, I'll have travelled to Paris.

-Future continuos: suj+will be+verb with -ing.
To talk about actions that we are going to do in the future.

I wish/ If only

Hi again!

To express a wish we can express by different forms:

-Wish about an irreal decision: I wish+suj+past simple.
I wish I were rich (but I am not).

-Wish in the past: I wish+ suj+ past perfect.
I wish I had learnt English when I was younger (but I didn't).

-Wish about an annoy situation or the weather: I wish+suj+would+infinitive.
I wish you would stop making that noise.

Here are some examples: Exercise 1

Conditional sentences

Hello!

There are four types of conditional sentences:

-Type 0: If+suj+present simple, suj+present simple.
Ex: If you boil the water, It boils.

-Type 1: If+suj+present simple, suj+ will+infinitive.
To talk about predictions or something that will be happen certain.
Ex: If it rains, I will stay at my home.

-Type 2: If+suj+past simple, suj+would+infinitive.
To talk about wishes, dreams or something we want to happen.
Ex: If I won the lottey, I would buy a new car.

-Type 3: If+suj+ past perfect simple, suj+would have+participle.
To talk about the impossibility of something had been happened.
Ex: If I had been an astronaunt, I would have travelled to the moon.

In these, "will" or "would" can be changed for: could, may, might...
"If" also can be changed for: provided that, as long as, supossed that...
Unless is frecuently to be in the first conditional and it replace if+not. For example:
If it doesn't rain, I'll go to the beach= Unless rains, I'll go to the beach.
In addition, we can change the order of the sentences, but we haven't to put a comma. For example:
I would take a lot of photos if I went to London.

Here there are many examples to practise it:

Writing Unit 6

Dear Helen

My english teacher suggest writing to a student in India with the objetive to improve the language. That's such a good idea, isn't it?.

In the first place, my name is Ana and I'm sixteen years old. I live in Tomelloso which is a small town in Spain. The thing which I like best is reading books. I find it exciting that you can imagine their characters and stories on your head. What about you? Do you like reading books or doing some sports?.

Secondly, I'm a happy and sociable person. I love making friends and talking with them. The only thing I hate is that people don't tell the truth. Are you agree with me?.

I'll hope your letter enthusiastically!

Ana

Relative Clauses

Hi!

Today, I'm going to explain relative clauses.

We use them to give additional informaticon about something without starting another sentence.

-How do you form that?
It's very easy. For example:
Imagine you are talking about the clothes that your sister has bought.

-She is my sister. She has bought the clothes.

We can put together and said:

-She is my sister who has bought the clothes.

There are some relatives pronouns to use:

-Subject Pronoun or Object Pronoun?
If the relative pronoun is followed by a verb, it's a subject.
The woman who was afraid of spiders.
If the relative pronoun is followed by a noun or a pronoun, it's a object.
He ate at the restaurant where my mum worked.

-Defining relative clauses
It gives some information that it's essential to understand the sentence and aren't put in commas.
This is the film which is directed by Pedro Almodovar.

-Non-defining relative clauses
It gives some information the it isn't essential to understand the sentence and are put in commas.
The girl, who lives in Barcelona, speaks two different languages.

Here you can do exercises and practise it. Bye! :)

10 years of Facebook

Hi!

Today I'm going to talk about the Facebook, this important social media network which 1.23 billion of people have. Are you on Facebook?

I've been on Facebook for two years. I have it because it's the only way to communicate with my poland friends. It's such an enjoyable page nevertheless, I prefer others like instagram or twitter.
We compare to other Facebook users with the language, the way to comment or upload photos and  probably they use Facebook more times than Spanish users because we have other pages to chat with our friends.
I like Facebook but I feel angry about the advertising on Facebook because it isn't  necessary for me that I've never bought something.
I spend on Facebook about 30 hours each month. This time it's normal because too many people spend more time than me in front of the computer.
On the other hand, we must have care about the privacy of social media networks. I'm concerned with that owing to the things I say when I'm chatting or the photos are upload can be taken by other people.

The truth of the famous Vans

I'm going to talk about the thruth of the famous Vans.

At first sight, everybody has one because it's such fashionable shoes nevertheless, nobody knows how it was invented or made. In their sole, there is the Star of David. It means that jewishs had made the shoes during the Second Global War.
In the Second place, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said that this sign shouldn't be a problem for people to wear in addition, the shoes were made without looking at this detail.

From my point of view, all the people who buy them should know it. On the other hand, the producers should take off this sign because it could be dangerous.

Passive voice

Hi!
Today I'm going to talk about the passive voice.
Don't worry, it isn't so difficult! :)

The passive voice
·It's used when the subject doesn't do the action.
·We put the receiver of an action as the subject.
·We put the doer of an action as the object.

Ex:     People sell flowers
Flowers are sold (by people) -> It isn't necessary if the subject it understand perfectly.

The form of the passive voice it's formed by :    BE + PAST PARTICIPLE

Verb time Active Passive
Present simple do/does is/are done
Present continous is/are doing is/are being done
Past simple did was/were done
Past continous was/were doing was/were being done
Present perfect has/have doing has/have been done
Past perfect had doing had been done
Simple future will do will be done
Perfect future will have do will have been done
Present conditional would do would be done
Perfect conditional would have do would have been done

Here you can practise this. Good luck!

Modal verbs

Hello

Today, I'm going to help you with modal verbs. It is very easy so you will understand very quickly. Don't worry!

There are two types:

-Modal: they are always followed by infinitif without "to". They are the same with all the pronouns and to make the negative you only need "not". Don't forget that you mustn't write two modals verbs together.
They are: can, could, may, might, should, ought to, must, will, would, would rather and would like.

-Semimodal: It is called by "semi" because it isn't as modal verbs. It always go with "to". It variety with the pronouns (have- I, you, we, they/ has- he, she, it)  and to make negative you put: haven't or hasn't. And you can write the semimodal with other modal verb together.

These are very different. If you don't understand it, look this:
